The STEMinist - Campaigns
This campaign is aimed at young women in Junior High and Senior High schools. Its purpose is to inspire and motivate them to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) by challenging the stereotypes and biases that often discourage women from entering these fields. #Energy Justice for last mile Communities The aim of this campaign is to urge the Government of Ghana to speed up the implementation of solar mini-grids in communities situated on islands and lakesides in Ghana that currently lack access to electricity. These areas remain unelectrified since the construction of the Akosombo hydropower dam in 1965, and the cost of extending the national grid to these scattered settlements is prohibitive. The campaign also seeks to emphasize the importance of incorporating gender and productive use considerations into the planning of solar mini-grid projects.
