This is due to socio-cultural barriers that have impacted their interest in science and technology.<\/p><p>The rationale is to encourage young ladies to aspire and reach greater heights in careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) by countering societal stereotypes regarding women in STEM careers.
